Club Update 10-8-2020

Dear Members,

The state of Florida recently entered Phase 3 reopening. This permits restaurants, bars, salons, theaters, gyms, theme parks, vacation rentals, retail stores and government offices to open at full capacity. While this may be applicable to public businesses, our stance at Windstar remains the same.  We will continue to meet and exceed the guidelines of the CDC and state and federal regulations to keep our members and employees as safe as possible.  Therefore, we will continue to enforce the policies currently in place, including masks, social distancing, and 50% capacity.

Thanks to the combined efforts of the Board and Management Team, with the assistance and cooperation of members and staff, we have been extremely successful in preventing the spread. Since March, all of Windstar on Naples Bay has had only three positive COVID cases and all have fully recovered.

The clubhouse has reopened with limited capacity. We will use this month to assess the impact of Phase 3 on Collier County, and we will move forward with caution when we are comfortable that we can continue to provide a safe-haven to our members.

Our anti-virus campaign, #windstarcares, is posted with safety reminders throughout the Club. We continually sanitize all areas daily and we have hand sanitizer stations throughout the club.  You will see acrylic barriers at the Turn Window, the Pro Shop, and the Front Desk. Members, employees, and vendors are all required to wear masks. We have the KN95 masks, Windstar masks and touch-free tools for member purchase and will mail them to you if you are out of town. No quarantining is required, but please do not come to the club if you are not feeling well.

Once again, This Too Shall Pass… Although we are not sure when the situation will change, we are well equipped to deliver a season that is fun and exciting, competitive, social, and a good value in the safest environment a club can provide. With the support of the Board, the experience of our team and the enthusiasm of our Members we are confident that we will continue to thrive in 2020-2021.

Your Board and Management are all very appreciative and proud of the cooperation and compliance that all Windstar Members have shown. Thank you for your continued assistance and stay healthy!
